Well, it's been several weeks since my last post on my blog.
It's been a long time.
Since my last post, I've been doing a lot of thinking about, you know, stuff.
One particular topic (out of many) was the very future of this blog. For a while there, I seriously considered deleting this blog and just start completely over, either with a new TypePad blog or going back to Blogger.
For now, I'll make the effort to resurrect my current blog from its sorry state.
Over the past several weeks, I've missed out on quite a few current events topics that I wanted to write about as well as a whole assortment of topics that I have been meaning to write about but just never seem to get around to doing so.
Blogging is more than some kind of artistic outlet. Quite simply, it's a way of life. A way of life that requires a large investment of time and a lot of commitment.
If you are prepared to spend a lot time and make a commitment to care and feed your blog, then don't bother starting a blog. You'll just be wasting your time.
Also, I'm not going to worry about competing with other blogs. That's silly. Granted, it's all too easy to suffer from blog envy, for the lack of a better term. There's quite a few really good blogs out there that I used to read with great frequency. Unfortunately, I just don't have the the time to assemble a highly elaborate blog. That said, I'm going to explore the new "TypePad" and liven up my blog.
For now, though, it's best that I write about things that I'm interested about and develop my own voice. If what I happen to write about in my blog interests other people, then that's great. If not, then that's great, too.
